Permanent Clinical Data Analyst job for a company based in Cambridge

This is a challenging and exciting role in a fast growing company. You will be working on healthcare applications, so knowledge of the healthcare industry or knowledge of text mining clinical data is essential. You will enjoy working in a fast-moving start-up environment which requires multi-tasking, flexibility and the ability to work in a small, highly motivated team.
Duties include:
Develop NLP (natural language processing) based solutions that integrate with HER data.
Creating specific resources for particular diseases
Developing and managing suites of extraction patters
Transforming, adapting and evaluating domain specific terminologies
Manipulating different document sources
Opportunity to author papers for submission to scientific journalsCandidate requirements:
Strong programming skills – familiarity with Python, Java or Perl is essential
Experience of extracting information for clinical data
Experience of working with domain ontologies such us ICD9 & 10, MeSH, MedDRA, RxNorm, SNOMED CT
Deep knowledge of NLP text mining
Medical, medical informatics, computational linguistics or similar degree Reference number: 1602-33
Location: Cambridge
Working Hours: 8am-5pm Monday – Friday
Salary: £42,000 – £54,000depending on experience
