Production Operative / Machine Operator Permanent Role

Gi Group are currently recruiting for a number of Permanent Production / Machine Operative roles with a large successful manufacturing company based in Mirfield. You will be a part of the production department within a large textile company and the role will include machinery and warehouse processes. It’s an exciting time to be joining the team as my client has extensive growth plans over the new couple of years.

These are PERMANENT positions and the role is ideal for candidates looking to build a long-term career as there are lots of opportunities to progress quickly within the company.

You will need to be a team player and be able to demonstrate a good track record of quality workmanship. We are looking for someone who can be flexible in their role. Must be reliable, have a positive attitude and able to work in a fast paced production environment. Strong manufacturing and production experience is preferred but training can be given.

This is an entry level position whereas you will classed as a Take Off Operator. The general responsibilities of this role include (but not limited to) –

* Taking the product off the end of the line
* Packing, stacking and labelling product
* To ensure daily production schedule is complete
* To comply to H&S practices
* To ensure all paperwork/records completed
* To ensure that work area/ site is kept clean, clear and hazard free
* To comply to company rules and policies
* Work with team and alone unsupervised
* Ensure all production is performed /completed in accordance with specification, instructions and individual requirements.

Skills and experience required for the role;

* Excellent health and safety practices and knowledge
* Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
* Attention to detail
* Awareness of PPE requirements
* Familiarity of modern manufacturing techniques
* Ability to follow instructions closely
* Must be physically fit as it is a fairly manual role
* Good level of English and maths

Pay = £26,000 per year plus overtime at time and half and double time.

Hours = Monday – Friday 06.00 – 14.00 & 14.00 – 22.00 rotating.
