UX Designer

Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year

Due to natural growth within their Technical Group, they have created a brand new position for a UX Designer to join a small Project Management Team whose remit is to deliver new products and services both internally and for external customers. The UX Designer role:

The UX Designer will be responsible for the full range of UX including gathering and refining requirements for new products, creating designs that can be implemented by the team and analysing usage data to improve existing products. The UX Designer will advise on the most effective ways to inject UX into the different parts of the Agile process.

The role will be paired with the Agile Business Analyst. This will allow both roles to support and coach each other and provide cover during leave and busy periods. The Business Analyst will perform some UX work and the UX Designer will perform some business analysis.

About you the UX Designer:

You will have broad experience in UX, including UI design, and have good technical awareness. You will be comfortable working in an Agile team and can build strong relationships with peers in IT and end users. Your analytical mind and creative flair allow you to take business requirements and translate them into an effective product that meets business and end user needs. You understand the implications in designing systems for a diverse range of cultures, levels of education and access to technology.

Education & Qualifications

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a similar roleSkills and Experience

5+ years of UX design experience
Translation of business requirements into iterative wireframes
Presentation of designs to the business and technical teams
Experience in UX for mobile applications and/or mobile-focussed web applications
