My client, a supplier of scientific solutions and advice are looking to recruit an experienced Aquatic Ecotoxicologist to join their Chemical Safety department in North Yorkshire.

As an experienced Aquatic Ecotoxicologist you will be responsible for developing technology and innovative solution to continuously improve the capability in the area of fish biology, husbandry and risk assessment.

Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the expansion of the aquatic ecotoxicology capability, in particular setting up breeding and exposure systems for fish
• Lead on the development of a range of fish exposure methodologies, to include those of endocrine effects
• Develop and maintain relationships with regulators on alternative methods for fish studies
• Act as GLP study director for a range of studies in aquatic ecotoxicology
• Develop study/research plans using international guidelines, regulatory guidance and client information
• Create proposals which include cost, timeframes and new studies
• Produce reports and communicate results to customers
• Train junior staff when required

Requirements
• Candidate must be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent
• Have experience managing project
• Previous line management and staff development experience
• Previous experience of fish husbandry and physiology
• Experience of managing fish broodstock facilities and prevision of test organisms
• A current UK driving licence
