This established Training Provider of Lifelong Learning Programmes is looking for an experienced Functional Skills Tutor, based anywhere in the south of the UK, who is looking for a new role on a 12 month contract. You`ll know your stuff when it comes to development and delivery of training/instruction and qualifications to groups of adult learners in Maths and English. Lead Functional Skills Tutor: The essentials.
– Certified qualifications in English and/or Maths at L4/5 or above.
– Recognised teaching qualification at Level 4/5
– Practical and demonstrable recent experience in the delivery of Functional Skills (maths and English) within a range of occupational sectors.
– Demonstrable knowledge and experience in developing an embedded approach to the delivery of Functional Skills (maths and English).

Lead Functional Skills Tutor: Your experience.
– Experience in the development and delivery of training/instruction and qualifications to groups of adult learners in Maths and English.
– Demonstrable evidence of teaching the required FS programmes
– Development, production and use of training media both written and electronic for mobile learning and blended packages.

Lead Functional Skills Tutor: The desirables.
– QTS Qualification
– L4 certificate in SSA ( Sector Skill Areas)

Lead Functional Skills Tutor: The organisation.
– Established Training Provider of Lifelong Learning Programmes

Lead Functional Skills Tutor: The role.
– You will be responsible for the development and delivery of Functional Skills programmes (Maths, English & ICT), producing materials to meet the learning requirements of a range of apprenticeship programmes, devising individual programmes of learning, working with current members of staff up-skill them in areas of teaching Functional Skills and developing learner/staff support programmes. You will also conduct Observations of Teaching & Learning and monitor, asses and manage learner/staff progression towards required standards and targets.
– You will be rewarded with a starting salary of up to 31k depending on experience and qualifications, travelling expenses, pension scheme, attractive holiday entitlement together with further training and outstanding career prospects and progression.
