A Scheduler is required for a busy engineering company based in the Bristol area.

Working within an engineering workshop / production environment you will be responsible scheduling all workshop and site activities, enabling the company to meet promised dates to customers and manage workflow through the business.

Key responsibilities will include:
• Schedule work to personnel to increase efficiency and prioritise work.
• Maintain schedule to maximise flexibility.
• Communicate effectively with all departments.
• Create monthly reports.
• Understand and manage load plan.
• Develop the schedule to its full potential.
• Ensure holidays and sickness are added to schedule.
• Assist with keeping the skills matrix updated & facilitating cross training within all depts to create more
agility within the business.
• Continuous improvement such as introducing barcoding, use of tablets, lean principles, creating
protocols etc.
• Ensuring that jobs are completed correctly, and clear notes are added to jobs on internal systems

The successful candidate will have gained similar experience as a Scheduler within a busy, fast paced engineering environment. You will be able to quickly resolve scheduling and logistical conflicts. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be liaising with all areas of the business.
