Social Media Community Executive

A new opportunity has arisen for an energetic and experienced Social Media Community Executive to join our Leeds-based Marketing Communications team. You will be joining a forward-thinking team in the midst of an exciting shift in digital trends for the company.

The Medical Protection Society (MPS) is the leading protection organisation for doctors, dentists and health professionals around the world. The Marketing Communications team, as part of the wider Member Engagement division, delivers consistent messaging to both internal and external audiences across a range of communications channels.

In this varied role as Social Media Community Executive you will plan, create and deliver engaging and vibrant social media content through a range of digital channels, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Collaborating with teams across the organisation, you will contribute to the social media aspect of our marketing and communications campaigns, as well as taking a creative approach to maintaining and building our social network community, responding to comments in a timely and appropriate manner. The Social Media Community Executive role will also require you to utilise social listening tools to assess brand perception, and to measure and maximise audience reach.

The Social Media Executive will work closely with the Digital Communications team to assist with the creation of web and email campaigns, with knowledge of digital best practice, and take a proactive approach to staying on top of emerging digital and social media trends.

Excellent research and writing skills are vital, as is a flexible writing style to help us maintain a consistent voice for our medical and dental brands online.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level with a genuine passion for social and digital media, and be able to demonstrate experience in creating and delivering engaging social content. A can-do attitude, meticulous attention to detail and exceptional communication, judgement and problem solving skills are a must for this Social Media Community Executive role. Experience with web content management and email campaign systems, and managing multichannel social media communities in a corporate setting is also highly desirable.
