Our client are a well-established Aerospace business providing a range of Aero Structures, Machined Components and processing solutions for Defence and Civil Aircraft projects.
We are looking for a Shop Auxiliary Operative to join their successful team.
The job requires physical lifting and carrying, as well as vac blasting, zinc spraying and also working with glues and occasionally, chemicals. (The applicant will be trained how to use these).
The successful candidate must be able to follow diagrams/drawings and will be taught how to mask and prepare jobs for the paint sprayers as well as finish the jobs and move on after the paint sprayers have painted the jobs and they have dried.
Person Specification
On behalf of our client we are looking for a friendly, reliable person who is willing to learn and be able to follow instructions as well as being able to think for themselves and use their own initiative.
• They must act as a team member at all times and be willing to work with anybody within the team.
• Candidates must be computer literate and be willing to learn how to use Epicor.
• Punctuality and attendance is key as well as having good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Candidates must be capable of working on repetitive jobs whilst still ensuring jobs are of the highest quality and meet all quality standards.
• They must be able to work overtime during the week and most Saturdays as instructed by the Team Leader.
• Willing to perform necessary housekeeping functions and promote Lean and 6S within the area and report any equipment/health and safety problems to the team leader immediately.
• Candidates must also be physically capable of working in this type of environment whilst wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including air fed masks, safety shoes and safety glasses.
