Anderson Knight is working with a client based in the Glasgow area to recruit a Senior Finance Project Manager on a 12-month FTC basis. There is occasional travel to Perth and London. Our client has recently embarked on a transformation programme spanning all areas of the business to support its continuing strategy. Effectively harnessing Data and Analytics will become an essential strategic capability enabling the business to continue to operate and compete effectively in its markets and business segments.
As Senior Finance Project Manager, you will be heading up one of the key workstreams within the finance programme, assisting in the selection of and managing the rollout of several new financial tools across the business. You will work closely with IT colleagues to help procure and implement new integrated Finance tools including aggregation, consolidation, reporting and dashboard and analytics across the business units.
The main responsibilities the Senior Finance Project Manager position entails are:
* Deliver the New tools workstream to the required quality and success criteria as defined in the project definition
* Management of 3rd parties, acting as a routine contact point between organisation and supplier
* Ensure that Finance Business strategy, policy and standards are adhered to, thus achieving commonality and ease of maintenance
* Manage cross project and programme dependencies, ensuring activities are joined up from an operational and delivery point of view
* Proactively manage the interfaces into projects, the portfolio and the business
In order to be considered for the role you must possess the following:
* An accountancy qualification (CIMA/CA/ACCA)
* Strong communication skills
* A proactive approach to work
* The ability to solve complex problems
* An outgoing personality
* A driven/motivated individual
It is highly likely that the contract will be extended past the 12 months. Our client is offering a competitive basic salary and bonus.
