Our Client was established in 2014 as an energy supplier to both the domestic and the industrial and commercial markets, with the aim of providing cost effective energy and a better service to the Group’s sites and businesses, employees and customers. Their aim is to give customers access to the Group’s buying power and major savings against the tariffs offered by the ‘Big Six’ suppliers.
To further advance their market penetration they are looking to recruit a senior sales professional to join their start up Energy business. The Head of Sales (B2B) is a hands-on sales role requiring discipline, focus and energy.
About the Job
Reporting directly into the Managing Director of Energy, this is a new role and an opportunity to make it your own. This role is ideal for an ambitious sales professional who has a proven track record of building a strong sales pipeline from a small base and developing relationships in the B2B field, preferably energy. With success this role will take on a more managerial element and therefore experience of recruiting and managing a multi-channel sales team would be advantageous.
In addition to a strong deliverable element to the role you will also have the opportunity, as Head of Sales, to set up and develop the B2B acquisition channels and strategy of our Energy business. You will develop strategy, tactics, sales plans, support with pricing strategy and cost effective acquisition.
Who we’re looking for
To apply for this fast moving and challenging role you must possess a strong background in business development and B2B sales. Applicants with experience within energy/utilities are encouraged to apply, those without must be able to evidence some knowledge of the industry and have relatable transferable skills useful working in a regulated sales market. You must also be able to evidence where you have successfully created B2B acquisition channels and strategy and be used to developing and delivering to KPIs, targets and long term business plans.
As this is a newly established provider the client is continuously striving for process improvement, they will need you to support with this and to ensure processes and controls follow this trend.
This role is nationally focussed and we would consider applicants from any area of the UK, our head office is based in Preston, Lancashire therefore the successful applicant will have to allow for some time to visit/work from the North West.
