Systems Manager

Salary: £50,400 – £52,800 per year

We are hiring for a Systems/IT Manager working for a well known and reputable logistics/retail organization

The organization are a flagship company in the UK who are experiencing a huge growth/transition period due to the logistics industry. They have an exciting opportunity for a System Manager to join their team.

You will help drive the business forward as they automate their distribution facilities implementing a variety of new systems.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Automation data systems across all Hubs and Processing Centres
• Act as the key point of contact with other PFWW IT professionals
• Develop and manage the Automation Data systems that are used within the Hubs and Processing centres
• Manage the hardware and software systems that interface with other parts of the PFWW IT framework
• Support the day to day scanning processes and interfaces used within the Hubs and Processing centres
• Develop / Maintain relationships with suppliers in the area of Software functions used within the Automated systems
• Provide advice to senior management regarding Automation project activities and upgrades which are software based

Requirements:

• A qualification in an engineering, scientific or IT discipline
• Experience working within a factory/FMCG/logistics environment
• Experience working with SWL Database, UNIX, JavaScript or HTML

• Preferably holds a recognized Health and Safety qualification NEBOSH or IOSH or experienced practitioner
