Civil Engineer

CIVIL ENGINEER – Warrington – Contract – £42 p/hr – £40 p/hr

Stride are currently representing an Engineering Consultancy who support in the delivery of water and wastewater treatment projects. As part of the Design Team, you will have responsibility for providing support in all areas of Civil Engineering especially technical solutions that will deliver improvements to water and wastewater treatment plants.

The successful candidate will be required to: –
– Design solutions for water / wastewater treatment plants;
– Undertake initial feasibility and scoping, through detailed design, to support for procurement, construction, commissioning and final handover of projects within the required timescales and within agreed design budgets;
– Undertake production of technical reports, calculations, development of design and construction drawings and specifications in compliance with relevant industry standards;
– Work closely with all parties in the project team to ensure the correct solution is provided;
– Work collaboratively within an integrated team environment to deliver design solutions;
– Maintain up to date technical knowledge of survey, design, drafting, project and contract management standards and techniques;
– Undertake appropriate research of existing assets and design modifications / improvements;
– Undertake design activities; & – Provide advice, solutions and successful project outcomes for clients Skills &

Qualifications:
– Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering;
– Professionally qualified and member of a relevant engineering institution i.e. ICE
– Working knowledge within the UK Water Sector including the design of water / wastewater treatment plants and water / wastewater networks;
– Computer literate; & Strong communication skills all levels with the client, suppliers, contractors and design team.
