THE PERSON

The right person for this position would be expected to possess the following experience, skills, personal style and behaviour:

Financial Experience -The Director should have experience working in finance and must be a vigorous budget controller.

Operational Experience – The Director should have experience managing all aspects of the daily operations of a school.

International Experience – Experience working in British style international schools overseas is an advantage, though not essential.

Strategic Vision – a forward thinker with the wisdom to reconcile the business needs of the College with the educational and pastoral aspirations. The Director will be required to contribute to the College’s strategy which is reviewed annually.

Leadership – capable of strong leadership and of motivating the workforce.

Communication Skills – capable of communicating effectively with all members of the College community. Tolerance, tact and diplomacy will be fundamental to the forging of effective working relationships.

Involvement – the Director must be prepared to be a full participant in all aspects of College life.

Management Experience – the Director will need to be a competent administrator, and be skilled in time management if he/she is to keep abreast of the wide-ranging responsibilities of the role.

Language – The Director should be a native English speaker. Knowledge in Mandarin is an advantage, though not essential.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

An excellent remuneration package is available to the right applicant. It consists of a base salary of £72,000+, plus housing benefits, international medical coverage and annual return flights to home country for the family.

Subject to their meeting the entry criteria of the College, school-age children of the post holder may be educated at the College free of charge.
