Remuneration; £26,000per year, £26,000 per year overtime

Working hours; 8:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday, 8:00 – 14:00 on Friday

Leading industrial recruitment agency Gap Personnel based in Buxton is currently looking for a Trainee Machine Operative on behalf of their NEW CLIENT. Our client is a leading manufacturing business which specialises in production of high quality tools and other metal products for cutting purposes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys work within engineering/ manufacturing environment, has eye for detail and doesn’t mind repetitive work. We will also take on an unexperienced technically minded individual with who is into engineering and would like to gain some experience.

The job purpose is to;

Produce high quality products,
Load and unload machines,
Be fully involved in the packaging process and ensure high quality at all times,
Finish the product to required standards,
Operate machinery,
Maintain clean production area at all times,
Conduct quality checks as in when required,
Adhere to all H&S procedures,
Conduct other duties as in when required by the Manager.

The candidate;

Preferably will have some experience in a similar role, however full training will be provided,
Must be able to multi-skill, be flexible, hardworking and have attention to detail,
Have some transferable skills,
Focused and able to concentrate on the tasks given,
Must be able to maintain excellent timekeeping and attendance record,
Able to work on their own initiative and follow instructions,
Able to carry out manual work.
