Retail Manager

Salary: £33,600 – £36,000 per year

Berry Recruitment is delighted to be working with a company who is currently working opening a new store in the Peterborough area. This store will be very customer centric and will offer a fantastic opportunity for their customers to embrace their hobby of keeping unusual pets. The vision is to provide a one stop shop for all things Reptile.

The shop floor manager role will include the need to undertake the following tasks:

Delivering customer service to an exceptional level at all times
Recommendation and promotion of products to customers
Being a leader and demonstrating this with a hands on approach
Key holders responsibilities
Processing cash and card payments, cashing up and bank deposits/reconciliation
Checking deliveries are correct
Overall responsibility of ordering in stock
Keeping up to date and knowledgeable with all new promotions.
Identify improvements that could be made to improve the business and be able to implement.

Essential skills that need to be demonstrated are:

Confident, positive and helpful attitude
Commercial awareness
Pet sector industry knowledge would be advantageous but not essential.
Strong customer focus
Leadership and Management skills
Unrivalled passion for animal / reptile welfare
Strong team focus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
