Accounts Assistant

Cooper Lomaz has a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our highly reputable, international Manufacturing client in Norwich on a permanent basis.

My client has been experiencing a positive period of change and growth which has resulted in this newly created opportunity within the finance function. Reporting in to the Cost Accountant and Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing first class support to the commercial, operational, and new product development teams in the form of informed recommendations on challenging current processes and control.

Your responsibilities will include:
Costing production for new product development project, including labour and material cost.
Continual review of NPD/Standard Costing Process to ensure this can be delivered in a timely fashion.
Financial analysis to support recommendations.

As such, this is a highly inquisitive and analytical position which will provide the successful candidate with a real opportunity to challenge the norm and assist with the implementation of process improvements with cost saving in mind. You should be highly competent with Microsoft Excel, any exposure to the Cognos or Prism systems would be advantageous but not essential and you should be working towards AAT qualification (or equivalent).
