Salary: £36 – £42 per hour

The Company
The consultancy are an established practice of consulting engineers operating in the principal areas of mechanical, electrical and public health engineering related to building services. This consultancy has successfully completed in excess of 1600 projects which include; Leisure Centres, Residential Properties, Commercial Officers, Multi use developments, Hotels, Retail Outlets and Shopping Centres, Healthcare, Education, and Telecommunications. Is also considered to be at forefront of technology in terms of our resources and the schemes it engineers. This includes implementing sustainable measures where economically possible and proactively providing Clients with alternative engineered options.
The Role
As a senior Engineer you will be required to conduct Part L2 analyses of new and existing buildings, from conception through to completion and EPC lodgement. You will also be required to in addition to thermal modelling you will need to provide heating and cooling load calculation to assist other design engineers. You will also have the opportunity to use a variety of technical skills including daylight modelling, SAP assessments, natural ventilation simulations and overheating analysis and façade analysis.
Essential Requirements
– Degree Qualified Mechanical Engineering within Building Services
– British or European Citizen
– Integrated Environmental Services (IES)
– Thermal Modelling and Part L calculations
– EPC productions
– Energy Assessor (level 3, 4 and 5 DSM with IES)
– Low Carbon Consultant (preferred not essential)
– SAP Assessor (preferred not essential)
– Daylight modelling (preferred not essential)
– BREEAM literate (preferred not essential)
– Knowledge of Building Bulletins (preferred not essential)
– NES Specification writing (preferred not essential)
– Schools or other naturally ventilated buildings
