We currently have a permanent role as a shift based Operations Technician at our site in Prudhoe, Northumberland.

About The Role

As an Operations Technician working on our converting lines you will help maintain and improve the day to day operational efficiency of the lines. Your role is to support fault finding and problem solving activities liaising with Operators, Team Leaders and Engineering teams. You will ensure regular line maintenance is undertaken, as well as provide training and coaching in situations where technical assistance is required. You will work 4 x 12-hour shifts (2 days/ 2 nights) followed by 6 days off.

What You Will Do

You will be responsible for executing all operational tasks with excellence and adhere to all documented procedures and processes including quality checks. All process issues should be documented through our internal online systems, providing the basic root cause as per the algorithm and your suggestion of a suitable countermeasure to prevent re-occurrence.

This role operates as a member of the production team running any part of the process as required, helping the team overcoming any operating and quality problems, running regular clean inspections and assisting in housekeeping activities.

Who You Are

You will have a minimum of NVQ Level 2 & 3 in a mechanical discipline. You will be results focused and a strong problem solver. You will be able to influence others through your effective all-round communication skills. A forklift truck licence is desirable.
