Music Teacher / Music Instructor

This is a lovely position teaching Music at a well- run, supportive Special School in south east London to all age groups from Year 7 to Year 11.

This ongoing position is teaching full time. You will be teaching whole class curricular music lessons.

The school is looking for a dynamic and most importantly an engaging music teacher/instructor with at least 1 year’s previous experience of teaching whole classes to this age group in Mainstream or SEN schools. Your lessons will be kinaesthetic, interactive and differentiated for all level of abilities. You will also have excellent behaviour management skills along with a good personality. The ideal person will have a desire to work with, and make a positive difference in the education of some challenging children. Whilst the children are challenging, they respond well to encouragement and praise.

In return you will enjoy the satisfaction of teaching music to the enthusiastic secondary age group and instilling in them a love and understanding of music. You will enjoy the support of the school and a competitive rate of pay depending on your experience.
