Our client is a London-based accounting company that offers a wide range of bespoke financial services to achieve their customers’ individual needs, goals and aspirations. They are now looking for an Assistant Tax Advisor to join their team.

As an Assistant Tax Advisor, you will be responsible for researching, progressing and completing tax projects for customers. These projects will include R&D, DLA planning, EMIs and company valuations.

You’ll effectively articulate tax information, both face-to-face and via email and provide customers with expertise to ensure that a high level of service is provided. You will also make sure they are aware of any impending tax liabilities.

Additionally, you will research and suggest techniques to resolve technical tax issues, liaising with Managers to tackle any complex or unusual matters that you encounter.

Your other duties will involve:

– Responding to HMRC enquiries
– Advising staff regarding tax issues
– Making sure customers adhere to deadlines
– Performing self assessments
– Ensuring our client complies with all tax requirements

To be considered for this great opportunity, you must have:

– At least three years’ experience of working in a tax role within a practice
– A part or full accounting qualification, such as ATT or ACCA

Organised and analytical, as an Assistant Tax Advisor, you must have a fantastic eye for detail with brilliant communication and problem-solving skills. You must also be highly numerical and focused with an accurate approach.
