Senior Design Engineer (Rail)

Salary: Circa £62,400per annum + Package
Employment type: Permanent, full-time
Location: York
Hours: Monday to Friday with the option to work from home. 2pm finish every Friday.My client is a very well-established company who have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer with a background in rail electrification to join their organisation on a permanent basis. They provide custom made electrical engineering solutions across the country to large blue-chip clients. You will be expected to assist with A.C & D.C power supply design works in accordance with legislation on time and within budget.

Example of Responsibilities

Preparation of technical specifications.
Issuing and circulation of design documentation to project team, supplies, sub-contractors, and site.
Creation of scheme designs.
Preparation of protection calculations.
Preparation of cable calculations.
Preparation of technical specifications for ordering of project specific material.
The technical review and verification of third party design submissions.
Preparation of Client technical queries.
Creation and circulation of warning notices.
Revision of designExperience/ Skills Required

Extensive rail electrification experience
Educated to degree level or equivalent desirable
Creation of Design documentation
Check Design documentation
Approve Design documentation
Creation of Warning Notices (Design change)
