I am currently working with an established college in the area who are rapidly expanding and looking to take on a new member of staff to join their successful engineering department.
My client is looking for an Instructor / Assessor in Mechanical Engineering. Ideally you should have relevant industry experience, particularly in a workshop environment and a minimum of a level 3 qualification in your subject specialism. Ideally you should also hold an Assessor award along with experience in assessing apprenticeship frameworks and work based learning provision. If you currently hold an IV award that would be an advantage.
This is a supportive role and involves conducting practical workshop sessions for learners as well as supporting lecturers in the delivery of workshop practice within the Mechanical Engineering section of the department of Engineering & the Built Environment. The Mechanical Engineering curriculum covers a range of mechanical engineering courses including NVQ’s, National Diploma’s and apprenticeships ranging from level 1 to 3.
Your role will involve delivering practical session on workshop skills; Milling, Turning, Lathe, Maching.
