1:1 Asd Teaching Assistant

The school caters for students aged 11-16 who have been diagnosed with moderate and sever autism. With a creative and engaging curriculum the school prides itself on offering extensive support to students ensuring that they are on track to hitting national targets and providing students with the best chance at an Education.

The appointed candidate will be expected to work on both a 1:1 basis and within small groups. Previous experience working 1:1 with students who have moderate to severe ASD is essential. Candidates who have strong knowledge about working within the SEN sector and will be confident and capable of working with these students will also be considered. This is a full time, long term post in the first instance with potential to be made permanent for the right candidate.

To apply you must:

Previous experience working with ASD students or in similar SEN posts
Excellent knowledge of the SEN sector
Hold an up to date DBS registered with the update service or be willing to process on
Provide 2x child related work based references good – outstanding
Be committed and personable
Be willing to provide personal care to students with severe Autism
