Introduction:
Our client is a design and manufacturing company who operate within a variety of industry sectors worldwide. Due to continued expansion our client is now looking for an additional Field Installation Engineer who will be responsible for attending customer sites and carrying out new installations to the companies’ electro-mechanical equipment.

Please note that this is a home based role and does involve extensive travel both in the UK and overseas therefore you must be flexible and be prepared to be away from home between 2 – 6 weeks per trip. In return you will benefit from daily allowances depending on where overseas you are and overtime for any extra hours worked.

This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join an established company and, although not essential, could be well suited for a person who has previously served in the Armed Forces i.e. Army, Royal Navy or Royal Air Force (RAF) and has previously worked within an Aircraft Engineering, Marine Engineering (Electrical), REME Technician or similar role.

Responsibilities:
– The successful candidate will be responsible for travelling worldwide attending customer sites and carrying out installation and testing of a variety of electro-mechanical products.
– Also responsible for providing safe, efficient and a high quality reliable service for the company’s products and to all customers.
– Liaising with customers to keep them up to date with installation schedules.
– Responsible for the compliance of directives and instruction from Site Supervisor / Service / Installation department office.
– Ensure the office is informed of all matters affecting the installation department.
– Follow company procedures and complete documentation appropriately.
– Ensure adherence with company health and safety policy.
– Ensure compliance with company quality systems and procedures.
– Contribute to the company’s continuous improvement process.
– Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by the site supervisor / service / installation department.
– Occasionally when required assist with production work at their Banbury, Oxfordshire site.

Applicant Requirements:
– It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have a strong background within Electrical and basic Mechanical skills are essential for this role.
– Strong technical background within a similar role.
– You must be flexible as this role involves the majority of work being overseas anywhere from 2 – 6 weeks at a time depending on the needs of the customer but all expenses are paid for by the company and allowances are also paid.
– Proven Multi – Skilled Engineering background.
– Willing to work at heights of between 6 – 10 metres.
– Excellent customer service skills.
– Sound communicator.
– Able to use own initiative.
– Enjoy problem solving.
– Able to work and remain calm under pressure.
