Skilled Construction Operative (Civils & Highways)

SkyBlue are supporting a road safety improvement scheme, North Nottingham (A1 Elkesley Junction). As part of the scheduled works, we are now seeking a team of skilled civil engineering operatives to support our clients operations.

Hours – Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week.
Start – Immediate
Location, Elkesley, DN22 8BN
Industry – Civil Engineering – Highway safety improvement scheme
Duration – 2 weeks with possible extension of 6 months work
Open positions – General Operative, Dumper / roller driver / Banksmen

Operatives Duties –

· Concreting
· Drainage construction
· Laying kerbs and channels
· Excavation holes and trenches
· General Labouring
· Machine operation (Forward Tipping Dumper / Roller driver)
· Banksmen

Candidate requirements –

· Must be a current CSCS card holder (for machine operation and bankmen duties a valid CPCS card)
· Construction Experience/knowledge – a basic knowledge of building methods and materials and good practical skills
· Good communication and team working skills
· NRSWA ticket would be beneficial
· Have a wide experience on construction/highway improvement schemes, working safely, recognising and reporting unsafe activities This is a SkyBlue Solutions vacancy and we are operating as an employment Business/Agency in this instance.
