Senior Quantity Surveyor – Major Development – Developer

A fantastic tier-one residential Developer in the UK is looking for an experienced and proven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team on a major residential development project in North London. This development has ongoing phases with a few more phases beginning in the coming months. Each phase consists of 200-300 units. This business has a very healthy pipeline of land and developments over the coming 10 years and continues to add to its land bank.

The Senior QS will be responsible for a team of 2 project QSs and Assistants and report directly to the Group Commercial Director.

The main responsibilities of this role involve;

• Managing the project commercial team.
• Leading the commercial team and stakeholder meetings.
• Ensuring all cost reporting assessed and done accordingly.
• Managing and ensuring all sub-contractors are staying to the preliminaries agreed from outset.
• Liaising closely with the Project Management and delivery team.
• Update CVC on a monthly basis to accurately reflect the current position of the project and forecast the final financial result.
• Carry out periodic check of COINS against cost report to identify any anomalies.
• Produce the project cash flow in accordance with the construction programme and update on a monthly basis.

To suit this role a few things are essential;

• At least 5 years experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor position.
• Strong knowledge and experience within the residential development sector.
• Experience working on largescale residential developments.
• Strong leadership and teamwork ability.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proven track record of delivering similar size projects.
