Salary: £42,000 per year

Due to the recent award of a number of significant projects, and a dedication to continued profitable, ambitious and long-term growth across the UK, our client is now seeking to appoint a Heat Pump Installation Engineer, nominally based from the company’s Newcastle offices, with regular local travel to various sites. You will be coordinating the day-to-day activity of renewable heating installations and key contracts, including sub-contractor management. You will need to be very organised with the ability to multi-task, be client focused, have good written and verbal communication skills, a can-do attitude, and a desire to succeed.
The Role
* Regular project updates to managers
* Composing professional and accurate correspondence
* Subcontractor management
* Managing and supervision of installation teams
* Conducting commissioning of heat pump systems in line with manufacturer and MCS standards
* Conducting heat loss surveys and radiator schedules
* Ordering and managing equipment for installations
* Preparing and managing project files, photos, and records on CRM in line with MCS standards
* Scheduling works as necessary
* Ensuring project targets are met and monitoring project progress closely
* General customer and subcontractor service and relations management
* Process paperwork in relation to projects which involve renewable heating
* Serve as a liaison with clients, customers and subcontractors
* Coordinate with the finance team on project payment issues, PO’s and invoices
The Person
* Experience of heating installations for the residential and commercial sectors
* City and Guilds or NVQ Plumbing qualifications are essential
* Full UK driving licence
* A good level of spoken and written English
* A good level of maths and numerical skills
* Must be able to use Excel competently
* Organised with good time management skills
* Willing to travel
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload
* Ability to interact sensitively with others
* Pro-active, self-motivated, and able to work alone and as part of a team to achieve common objectives
