Our client a leading residential developer has built an impressive reputation within the London residential market place, winning awards for regenerating disused parts of the capital and transforming them into vibrant communities in attractive landscaped grounds, offering on-site facilities such as fitness suites, business centres, concierge service, shops, cafés and restaurants.
Duties:
• Carry out regular site inspections, checks when requested to assist in meeting the intended completion dates. Report on condition and progress of such works to Construction Team.
• Attend departmental meetings and take an active part.
• Ensure that the information is checked and made available to suit programmed dates.
• Take instructions in respect of the detailed programming and sequence of works and ensure that any the site personnel are managed to meet these requirements.
• Assist the Site Managers as necessary and facilitate to ensure that the Contractors and subcontractors have a correct information to complete the works.
• Check information, grids, levels datums and the like to ensure that all works are inspected as works proceed.
• Inspect and co-ordinate information that have a bearing on the accuracy and scope of the Engineering/setting out works.
• Ensure that all works carried out comply with the relevant Brochures, drawings and specification and highlight any discrepancies.
• Tolerance information must also be obtained from Specifications, contract documents etc. Reviewed and incorporated into the relevant checks carried out and reported against.
• Attend any necessary training sessions necessary for staff based on site. Make yourself aware of all relevant product information, building regulations and NHBC/LABC quality standards.
• Chase up and ensure that all relevant certification is received and logged from Surveying companies and the like.
• Ensure that all building operations are carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with all relevant regulations. (The agreed Health and Safety Plan should be available before site commences and action accordingly.)
• The site undergoes numerous audits and inspections and maintaining the site housekeeping at a high standard is imperative.
• Ensure any such site presentation issues are reported to your line manager.
Candidate Profile:
• Main contractor or residential developer background
• Educated to degree level in Civil Engineering based subject
• Previous setting out experience is essential
