Delivery Driver (Multi-Drop)

Based in our Rayleigh depot, located within the Progress Business Park in Leigh-on-Sea (SS9 5PR), we are looking to recruit a number of Full Time and Permanent multi-drop Driver / Delivery Driver to join our team in delivering a great level of service and product to our customers. Working Monday to Friday, 40hrs/wk (typical working hours ranging in shifts between 06:00am to a 17:30 finish), we are looking to recruit experienced multi-drop long wheel base van driver. Typical duties will involve delivering and collecting automotive/commercial batteries directly into and from customers premises. Experience of using a handheld PDA is of advantage, as is the ability to manually handle a heavy product. Holders of a CPC licence (7.5T licence) are also required, but this is not essential. The individual must be happy, helpful and smiley in character and possesses and ‘Can do approach’ to their work and personal life in order for the individual to provide an consummate level of service to our customers.

Essential experience of:
– Working as a van driver
– Happy and outgoing in attitude
– Driving licence
– A genuinely friendly individual who wants to get to know the customer better
– Customer focussed, to ensure that each delivery is made consistently well with a positive impact
– Ability to handle a heavy product
– Neat and tidy, able to portray a professional appearance at work
– Some Microsoft Office skills (such as Excel, Word and Outlook)

Desirable experienced in:
– Use of a PDA
– Driving a long wheel base transit van
– Experience of working as a multi-drop van driver
– 7.5T licence with driving experience (may be of use)
– Some Microsoft Office skills (such as Excel, Word and Outlook)
– Time Management and Organisational skills
