Temporary role: End of February 2022 – May 2022 (with potential extension)
Night shift: 21:00 – 06:00 (5days on with 2 to 3 days off depending on shift pattern)
Location: Forward Depot, East London
Hourly Rate: £14.32

Job Role:
To manage the stores day-to-day activity with responsibility for receiving, storing and issuing materials in a timely and accurate manner.
Job Duties:
• Receive and book onto the warehouse management system all inbound materials from suppliers,
• Put away to storage locations all materials received,
• Pick, pack and issue all outbound materials as required by the customer,
• Operate machinery including MHE in a safe and effective manner,
• Conduct all tasks in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and Health, Safety and Environmental policies,
• Ensure stock integrity through regular stock counts,
• Input, interrogate and retrieve data within the warehouse management system as required in performing all tasks,
• Undertake housekeeping to maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment,
• Encourage a culture of team-spirit and desire to provide excellent service to customers,
• Understanding and utilisation of the company philosophy, systems and tools,
• Conduct routine audits to ensure workplace practices are being carried out correctly,
• Respond to customer queries and requests swiftly and accurately,
• Organise transport to and from customers and suppliers’ when necessary,
• Drive continuous improvement activities to improve operational processes and customer satisfaction,
• Understand the KPIs and take appropriate actions to ensure targets are met,
• Participate in, and pass, all training courses as required by the business.
Essentials:
• Good level of literacy and numeracy,
• Prepared for a physically demanding role,
• IT literate including the use of e-mail, word-processing and spreadsheet software.
• Have a flexible approach to working hours, shift patterns and annual leave in accordance with the needs of the business
