Java Developer

Our teams have experience in delivering award winning programmes in space, defence and national security, central government and the public sector including health, as well as the commercial sector including financial services, oil and gas, energy and utilities, manufacturing, telecoms and media, and transport. Our client have a need for Java Developers in locations across the UK Role Java developers will work on client facing projects across our Government and Public Sector Businesses potentially on client site. Developers should be able to work in both waterfall and Agile teams and to perform end to end development activities including unit testing and to support test teams and ultimately production systems.

Experience & QualificationsEssential Skills – Experience of greenfield and brownfield development using Java – Good interpersonal and communication skills – Experience in automated unit testing tools such as JUnit – Use of lightweight frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate – Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently – Recognised accreditation in Java or similar Object Oriented Language – SC Cleared or clearable to SC level Desirable skills – Experience of working with major consultancy in a client facing role – Specific domain expertise in Government or Public Sector Projects – Use of development tools such as SVN, Trac, Maven/Jenkins – Accreditation in Agile techniquesHy-phen Limited is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
