Independent Domestic Violence Advisor

Our client, a charity that delivers quality specialised services to those affected by domestic violence is looking to recruit an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor. This is a temporary assignment for approximately 4-6 weeks working full-time hours in the Devon area and this requirement is to start ASAP.

The successful candidate will be able to provide high quality front line services to victims of domestic violence whose cases are being dealt with through the Specialist Domestic Violence Court (SDVC) across Exeter, East and Mid Devon. The IDVA takes a lead role within a multi-agency service framework to ensure the safety of victims within and outside of the criminal court process.

You are required to have experience with working with vulnerable people, in particular victims of domestic violence and working within a multi-agency and legislative framework. You will also have professional experience of working in partnership with the criminal justice system, relevant statutory and voluntary agencies.

You will be compassionate, empathetic and act with integrity and respect when working with all clients, agencies and individuals. The hourly rate is £14.4and an enhanced DBS is essential.
