Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, efficient and reliable nurse preferably within Band 6 to join our team as a Nurse Manager. This role is situated within a lovely home enviroment, looking after a 57 year old lady who suffered a brain haemorrhage and subsequently has complex medical and mobility needs. The manager will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the care assistants, as well as ensuirng the patient recieves all necessary care required.

The successful Nurse Manager candidate will be comfortable managing a team and making decisions to ensure the best quality of care is given.

Responsibilities:

• Manage care assistants, including training, organising the rota and advising on any medical decisions.
• Ensure the patients care plan is always up to date and is being followed by the whole care team.
• Liase with Doctors & Health care professionals were necessary to ensure the patients needs are being met.
• Carrying out to day to day care routine, assisting team with all jobs required including administering medictaion, peg feed and basic physio.

Requirements:

• Proven nursing experience
• Familiarity with professional and technical emerging knowledge
• Problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task
• Compassionate with good communication skills
• Excellent teamwork skills
• BS or diploma in nursing
• NMC card

Previous experience:

• Previous post registration experience within the relevant specialty
• Experienced and competent in the management of patients within the speciality
• Supervision of junior staff
• Experience of co-ordinating a shift
