Salary: £26,400 per year
My client is a leading Investment Management & Financial Planning fim based in North Yorkshire, providing Businesses and individuals with expert Financial Planning and Investment Advice across Pensions, Investments, Stock & Shares.
We are urgently seeking a Finance & Opertations Assistant, to join the Finance & Operations teams. You’ll be providing support to the Head of Finance and Operations through the provision of management information, and the application of financial and operational controls.
Your specific dutoies would include:
* To produce regular management information for the finance team on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
* To produce a number of key control documents and HMRC returns in a timely manner.
* To produce various ah-hoc reports, analysis and projects as and when required for the Cardale Group.
* To provide high quality support and assistance to the Head of Finance & Operations as necessary.
* To ensure all reporting undertaken is produced in an efficient and accurate manner.
* To have a good understanding of all the operational processes within both the custody and cash teams and provide assistance where necessary.
* To ensure that they are fully familiar with the company’s Anti Money Laundering staff handbook and with the Anti Money Laundering regulations, and ensure that all regulations and procedures are complied with.
* To develop own professional expertise through on the job training, formal training and, where appropriate, professional qualifications.
* To ensure that they familiarise themselves and abide by the company’s value statement and policy with regard to TCF (Treating Customers Fairly).
* To ensure that they familiarise themselves with and abide by Company policy on Client Data Security. To carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required.
This role is not a standard Accountancy type position and it sits within Finance & Operations, so will suit someone who has Accountancy qualifications, but also a keen interest in the Investment Management / Financial Planning industry.
For this role it is essential that your are educated to a Degree level and studying towards your Accountancy qualifications either ACCA / CIMA, part-qualified candidates are very welcome to apply as long as you are focused on continuing your studies and gaining full qualification, which will be fully supported by the firm.
It would be to your advantage if you alkreadfy have experience working within the Financial Services sector, and / or have a good understanding of Back Office processes within a Financial Services or Financial Advisory firm dealing with Pensions, Investments etc, although this isn’t specifically necessary.
