Electrical Engineer – Food manufacturing
Location: Derbyshire
Salary: £49,200 + benefits, inc. shift allowance

We’ve got fantastic opportunities for an Electrical Engineers to join this dynamic food manufacturing business.
Working 4 days on/4 days off this role reports to the Engineering Team Manager; you will work closely with the production team to ensure that machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all preventative maintenance is conducted in advance to avoid production disruption.
The role:
* Work collaboratively within the Engineering team
* Support in investigating means of improving plant productivity
* Ensure that all necessary spare parts, materials and equipment are available.
* Investigate and establish causes of all breakdowns and damages
* Action any necessary repairs and ensure all measures taken are recorded so recurrent faults can be recognised.
* Be involved in both electrical reactive and pro-active maintenance.
* Be proactive in ensuring good health and safety on site
The person:
* You will be qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC electrical Engineering, BTEC level 3 in Electrical Engineering)
* IEE qualification up to 17th or 18th edition Wiring Regulations desirable
* Have a proven track record in an Engineering and fault-finding role gained from within a FMCG environment (Ideally Food Industry), we will also consider those from REME/Armed Forces
* Have a good understanding of HACCP principles
* Previous experience programming PLC is beneficial but is not essential.
* You will also possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate assertiveness and decision-making skills and have a can do attitude to your work.
