Field Service Engineer – Solar PV/Electrical/HV

Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacture of energy-efficient power conversion solutions for solar energy within large scale commercial sites.

As part of a field based team, your role will be to visit sites such as large commercial clients and solar farms and to get involved with the repair, installation, preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical/electronic equipment, IT systems and sub-systems used for power conversion in the solar energy sector.

Specific duties and responsibilities:

Maintain and service solar power inverters at solar farms

Interact with customers and co-workers at a professional level

Perform depot based repair, testing and re-certificating of inverters

Perform remote on site customer services, including installing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repairing of inverter equipment, IT network systems and related products

Calibrate and coordinate equipment according to precise specifications

Provide adequate documentation and reports upon completion of each assigned job

Perform field engineering projects while maintaining safety standards

Complete onsite audits for improved reliability

Execute field and office performance and failure testing, include analysis and repair plan

Act as technical liaison

Qualifications:

Qualified electrician

Experience of solar pv or HV

IT skills to include networks and monitoring

Ability to travel across the east of england

Ability to troubleshoot electrical and electronic circuits and network issues
