Service Consultant – Lead Generation – Start 11/08

A large banking organisation who are a based in MOULTON PARK Northampton requires candidates to join their busy inbound call centre where you will be required to generate leads for the sales teams. The role is due to start on MONDAY 11th August. This role is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidates.

The Salary: is £26,000per year. You will work 35 hours, 5 days per year 8 hours between 8am – 10pm Monday to Saturday with 1 hour for lunch. Shifts are given 4 weeks in advance and if you work the Saturday you have a day off in the week instead. Training will be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm for up to 12 weeks. You will be required to be flexible to work between 6am and 10pm Monday to Sunday if the opening hours of the business change.

A finance and criminality check will be completed before you are able to start which will require proof of address dated within the past 3 months.

Purpose:
This is a challenging role
You will be taking inbound calls, talking to customers on the telephone and providing them with a positive first and last impression of you and the company, as you talk to them about mortgages, insurances, life assurance etc.
You will be identifying your customer’s needs quickly and efficiently and promoting the most appropriate product to suit their needs.
You’ll also be recognising when further products or services could also benefit them, and matching these with the customers’ individual needs and circumstances.
Compliance is vital, so at times where required you will be reading the scripts verbatim to comply with the FSA guidelines.
You will have to remain focused as calls can last from 5mins to an hour long.
You will need to display empathy for those customers you are unable to help.

Daily Activities:
* Talking to customer on the telephone for 90% of your time, providing a first class customer service that is second to none
* Act on leads generated by the service teams and identify how the customer could benefit from the award-winning portfolio of products
* Maintain relevant in-depth product knowledge and procedures
* Adhere to service levels and achieve allocated workload and key performance indicators.
* Professional, secure and efficient handling of financial and non financial data and customer information on all account types in accordance with operational procedures
* Understand and carry out processes in accordance with agreed operational procedures
* Fully adhere to the Data Protection and Information Security Policies
* Liaising with internal & external customers and third parties, ensuring relationships are developed and maintained.
* Monitoring and updating internal and external systems
* Administration
* Support other areas of the business as and when required according to business needs
* Identify improvements that could deliver value to the business

Skills, Experience, Personal Qualities:
* Confident and enthusiastic telephone manner
* Proven customer service experience desirable
* A background in financial services would be ideal but isn’t essential.
* Ability to listen, empathise and inspire confidence
* Need to be able to work as part of a team and work to goals and deadlines
* Proactive and able to work with minimal supervision
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* PC Literate – Outlook, Word & Excel
* Ability to prioritise workloads and demonstrate organisational skills
* Ability to self motivate & thrive under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy & service standards
* Excellent attention to detail
* Quick learner, flexible, able to multi-task and problem solve
* Ability to gather information quickly & apply well reasoned & balanced judgement
* Must be “business aware” when conducting day to day activities
