Title: Stores Assistant

Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire

Duration: Temp to Perm after completion of a minimum of 12 weeks

Salary: £26,000per year(to be reviewed after training), plus 28 days holiday per year inclusive of Bank Holidays.

My client based in North Stevenage was established in 1985 in the field of electronic manufacturing services. Their customers range from specialised laboratory and medical equipment manufacturers to recognised international industrial companies.
Their buildings cover some 60,000 sq ft of the latest in production facilities for surface mount, through hole, cable assembly, testing, inspection and finsihing.

Working in the Stores and reporting to the Stores Supervisor, your role will be to store and kit electronic components accurately and efficiently to given daily workload.

Your main duties will be to:

– To use the hand held scanners to record stock components and quantities issued to kits or bin locations.
– To kit components via the Epicor (ERP System) to generate picking lists.
– To allocate incoming goods either to Stores or kits for shop floor.
– To maintain and update stock records on the Epicor system.
– To assist in regular stock takes.
– To deal with general materials issued from Production or other departments.

In additon the job holder may be required to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager from time to time.
