Farnham – Mechanical Research Engineer – £40K-£70K – Automotive
My client is one of the market’s leading clean technology companies. They design, develop and manufacture a fully integrated motor and drive solution. They are looking for a mechanical expert to work in the Advanced Motor Research Team to innovate, design, test and analyse with the goal of ensuring that their products are the best on the market.
Main Responsibilities;
+ Generate ideas for improvements to the mechanical and thermal design of electric motors and their integration in vehicles
+ Develop, test and analyse motor design improvements
+ Develop high-level concept designs to support feasibility work with prospective customers
Skills and Experience needed;
+ Mechanical R&D experience
+ 3D CAD experience (Solidworks)
+ Mechanical and Thermal simulation experience
+ Automotive experience – specifically relating to electric/hybrid vehicles or electric motors and powertrain
The salary for this position will be circa £48,000 – £84,000depending on experience.
