Community Safety Officer

Salary: £16.14 – £17.22 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Community Safety Officer for Local Government based in Trafford

The Trafford Community Safety Team requires an experienced temporary Community Safety Officer who has experience of taking statements, preparing cases for legal and has a good working knowledge of the tools and powers available under the Antisocial Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014. The successful candidate will be able to work in partnership with other departments and agencies and have a current DBS.

This is an exciting opportunity which combines day to day liaison with community groups and residents with an overall objective of improving outcomes and experiences for those who live, work and visit Trafford within the context of delivering the Trafford Crime Strategy.

As part of the Partnership Community Safety team based at Stretford police station, you will
work proactively to problem solve and co-produce initiatives which tackle and prevent crime and disorder and increase community safety and confidence, alongside all key stakeholders including residents and community groups.

This is initially a three month contract, with the possibility of being extended.

The post-holder must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle available for business use for which expenses will be paid.

The role is currently a blend between home-working, and on-site visits.

Be an experienced case manager working with residents and families involved in or affected by crime and disorder within designated areas working within a mulit-agency team.

You will also provide expertise and excellent project and case management skills to deal with issues of crime and anti-social behaviour to an excellent standard with an aim to resolve these early and efficiently.

You will have experience of delivering creative and innovative solutions at a local level, of managing and maintaining action plans and effectively engaging with members of the public, stakeholders and businesses. A positive attitude and approach is essential.
