Trainee Tail Lift Engineer

£15.6 – £16.2 per hour + Overtime

Permanent Position

A busy and expanding UK Commercial Vehicles company, are looking for Trainee Mobile Tail Lift Engineers to maintain & repair tail lifts and commercial vehicle bodies.

Covering the South East of England, with flexibility to work in other areas of the UK if or when required.

Responsibilities include:

* Initially shadowing an experienced Tail Lift Engineer to learn the practices and technical requirements to become a stand-alone Engineer

* Travelling throughout the Kent and surrounding regions in a company van

* Working remotely using initiative and working to schedules

* Carrying out Servicing, Maintenance & Repairs of Commercial Vehicle Tail Lifts

* Undertaking Weight Testing and repairs

* Commercial Vehicle Body repairs and replacing exterior body parts including wing mirrors, trim, etc.

* Providing excellent customer service

Experience required:

* Previous automotive fitting or repair work would be ideal

* A Full UK Driving Licence is essential

* nowledge of lifting equipment, heavy tool hire or machinery could be an advantage

* Any Welding or basic Fabrication experience would be helpful but not essential

* Excellent customer service abilities are required

* Good communication skills

* Excellent self-motivation and organisational skills

Additional Details:

* Full-training is provided

* Overtime and call-out / standby rates are paid when trained

* 45 contracted hours per week

* Immediate starts are available
