Salary: £26,000 per year. 5.6 Weeks Paid Holiday

Although experience is desirable don?t worry if you?re new to the career as full training is provided.

Grateley House School

Grateley House School is a successful, residential special school for young people with a diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome and/or associated disorders. We also have a house in Salisbury for our Post 16 students. Job Role

Without realising you will have a huge amount of knowledge you can pass on to our students. Many of them lack the straight forward practical and social skills that you will have developed naturally whilst growing up. With patience and understanding, you can help them learn and practise these skills, boosting their self-esteem, encouraging self-help and promoting their independence, providing support within their domestic and personal life. You will work with our students to maximise their potential and to enable them to enjoy the best possible quality of life. You?ll contribute to assessments, care programmes and reviews.

Full induction training is given. You will also learn from some of the most dedicated and inspirational people in our profession and just like our young people and Service Users you will be learning all the time through our on-going mentoring and support.

Candidate Profile

This position is suitable for new entrants to the profession but equally could be for applicants with relevant experience and skills. Previous care experience is desirable but not essential as full training is given. You will be creative, enthusiastic and have a passion for getting young people active.

You will be a strong team player, confident and motivated and well organised. Patience and commitment are essential, but above all you?ll be someone with a genuine desire to help others

Please note you must have a current car driving licence in order to apply for this role, as at times you may be required to attend other sites or drive the company minibuses.
