Customer Service & Counter Sales Assistant

The Client: Our client are a very well established builder’s merchant with a superb reputation.

The Role: Customer Service & Counter Sales Assistant – working within this busy builders merchant the focus of the role is to serve both trade & general public customers quickly and efficiently, giving product advice and upselling wherever possible to maximise profit.
You will be on the need to deliver high levels of customer service at all times and you will also be responsible for maintaining the stock levels and merchandising throughout the branch.
As well as customer service this position will have a hands on, operations element to it and you will be tasked with loading and unloading products both in the branch and in the yard and will be fully trained to use a forklift.

A full UK driving licence will be required for this role to drive a fork lift.

Full time role – 40 hours a week – some Saturday mornings included.

The Location: Lowestoft, Suffolk.

The Candidate: The successful candidate for this role will come from a customer service or sales background and enjoy dealing with customers face to face on a daily basis.
You will need to have strong customer service skills, communicate clearly and be able to manage your time and workloads effectively.
You will be able to work in a hands on environment as working within a builder’s merchant will be similar to a warehouse environment.
Experience working in a retail, merchant or distribution background is ideal and any operations experience in a warehouse environment will be useful.
Knowledge of construction or building products would certainly be beneficial.

A full UK driving licence is need as full training to use a fork lift will be given.
