Mini Excavator Driver with Nrswa

Salary: £31,200 per year

leading facilities management company based in England are on the lookout for x2 Groundworkers who must have a mini excavator ticket along with streetworks.

The role will be largely working away from home staying in paid for hotels with all expenses covered. You will also get a co van along with tools laptop and company phone. You are paid from the minute that you leave home and therefore there ios lots of overtime available.

As the company operates nationally, the successful operative must be willing to work away from home when required. When working away from home all hotel accommodation and expenses are provided.

Hours: The successful candidate will be expected to work 45 hours per week. However, may be expected to work additional and unsociable hours occasionally. Overtime will be payable for any additional hours worked.

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic CSCS Civils Operative to join a growing team carrying out a range of short duration civils projects across the UK. Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Excavation works including service trenching

. • Operation of small highways maintenance plant and equipment.

• Carry out ground surveys to locate underground services using cable avoidance tools. • General ground works activities including the laying and levelling of kerbs, paving slabs, tarmac and concrete

. • Operatives will also be expected to assist with installation and signage functions when the need arises.

Formal Qualifications and Experience required:

The successful applicant should be fully competent in all aspects of ground works including the following:

• Installing service trenching, bollards, columns and signposts as required within roadways, footpaths and verges

. • Repairing and resurfacing any existing surfaces that are affected by the installation works, such as tarmac, block paving, paving slabs concrete or soft landscaping

. • Removing unsafe obstacles on site including bollards, columns and street furniture.

Essential: • Must have a full UK driving license

. • Valid CSCS card.

• A knowledge and appreciation of health and safety regulations.

• NRWSA Qualification

• Valid ticket for mini excavators

Desirable

• Valid Abrasive Wheels certificate

. • Valid Manual Handling certificate

• UK driving license including category C1 with the ability to comply with the requirements of company insurance.
