Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant

Staffroom Education are looking for Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistants to work within schools in Swansea and Neath. We have a variety of full-time and part-time roles.

Role Requirements:
– At least 3 months of experience working with children in a professional capacity, for example: Volunteering at your local school, church group or community group, sports coaching, mentoring or similar.
– We welcome applicants with childcare/education specific qualifications that have experience of working with children within the past year.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
– Help prepare the classroom before class
– Tidy the classroom at the end of each class
– Support the teacher when needed
– Support reading groups
– Help with group activities
– Provide one to one support as well as working within small groups
– Help with administrative tasks
– Provide feedback to the teacher on the pupil’s progress
– To be aware of the planning and preparation of work
– To assist with the development of basic Literacy, Numeracy and ICT skills.
