Finance Assistant

Vysiion, an Exponential-e Group company, is a growing organisation specialising in providing IT Managed Services and Consultancy to the UK Public Sector including local and central government agencies, blue light, healthcare and defence.

Your new role

We are recruiting for the role of a Finance Assistant / Accounts Payable Assistant to join our small finance team leading the Accounts Payable function. There is scope for the role to expand to include other elements, such as credit control, process improvement and supporting the wider finance team in general accounting work.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

* Daily processing of invoices and matching to purchase orders

* Investigation and resolution of queries relating to purchase orders and invoices

* Daily input of overhead and administration invoices

* Allocation of supplier payments

* Processing staff expenses and credit card statements

* Reconciliation of supplier statements

* Payment runs and sending remittances

What you’ll need to succeed

As a Finance Assistant / Accounts Payable Assistant you must be an excellent communicator and able to build strong, effective working relationships with both external suppliers and colleagues across different departments.

Knowledge and experience required:

* We are ideally looking for someone with experience in a similar finance role but would consider those with an equivalent qualification

* Competency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook & Word

* Familiarity with the tasks involved in an Accounts Payable function

* Ability to manage time and prioritise workload

* Ability to take ownership and responsibility for the Accounts Payable function

* Attention to detail and problem solving skills
