Start 14th December (Interview week of 30th November)
Freelance 52 week contract but this could turn into a permanent role.
Freelance £276 – £294per day or when perm £52,000k – £55,000k + Package
The Company:
Regional Main contractor, that turns over in excess of £45m+ within the new build division, many of their projects range between £3m to £10m covering a variety of sectors from Commercial, Care Homes and Education, they are looking for an experienced No1 Site Manager to join their existing team on a site in Nottingham.
Project:
Senior Site Manager No.1 to oversee a new build project of 34 new assisted living apartments within a 2 and 3 storey living complex in North Nottingham. Traditional brick and block build with external timber and brick cladding, complete with meeting rooms, offices, communal area and external car park. value £4million. Very tight site with some logistical challenges.
The Role:
No.1 Site Manager to oversee the commencement on site, after the initial demolition works ground works will commence ASAP. You will be dealing with the client, design issues and any short term programme changes. Calling off materials as and when required and being supported with the supply chain by a quantity surveyor and visiting Contracts Manager. At some point an Assistant site manager will also utilised.
You must be a strong character to make decisions whilst managing a number of subcontractors over various packages on quality and time frame, whilst also dealing with health and safety and all associated paper work and weekly daily meetings.
Essential Skills:
Site Managers must have relevant CSCS, SMSTS certificate and First Aid certificate.
Experience of New Build Care Homes, Hotels, Student Accommodation or traditional build high end apartment schemes projects would be ideal due to the nature of the project.
You must have managed projects from inception to completion with values in excess of £4million +
Freelance candidates that have not started and completed projects full turnkey and are not able to demonstrate this will not be suitable for this role.
