Placment Qualified Social Worker

Capita is recruiting for an independent fostering company with a base in Elland who are looking for a qualified social worker to join them.

In return your salary sill be up to £38,400 + Car + Pension.

To produce timely, concise reports detailing the findings of Initial Visits and making clear recommendations to the Senior Assessment Practitioner

To work closely with the Recruitment Officer in the scheduling and delivering of Initial Visits across the region

To undertake Form F assessments across the region

To work closely with the Senior Assessment Practitioner in ensuring that i) targets and timescales are adhered to and ii) Form F reports are robust and thorough

To keep accurate and up to date records of assessments

To work closely with the Assessment Administration Team to ensure statutory checks and references are delivered within timescale

To assist in building and maintaining excellent working relationships with various stakeholders as a means to promoting the organisation as an agency of choice

To work within the provisions of the Data Protection Act, observing strict confidentiality in relation to all aspects of work undertaken

To have a good understanding of and work within the Fostering Services National Minimum Standards and Fostering Services regulations

To work in a way which promotes anti-discriminatory practice at all times

To take personal responsibility for the health and safety of self, colleagues and visitors.

To take responsibility for ensuring that all health & safety recommendations for prospective foster carers are implemented within agreed timescales and ensuring the health and safety of all children placed with foster carers

To identify the need for risk assessments, particularly in relation to the regulations and standards

To ensure all risk assessments are completed in a timely manner and monitor their implementation Capita Social Care and Housing is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
