Salary: £30,000 per year

Our client, a successful and reputable company based in Bramley has an exciting opportunity for an Administrative and Purchasing Executive to join their expanding team. As the Administrative and Purchasing Executive you will be responsible for:

* Ensuring the smooth running of the office on a day-to-day basis including recording office expenditure and keeping to budgets, ordering stationery and equipment
* Facilities maintenance such as arranging regular testing of electrical equipment and safety devices
* Keeping Health & Safety policies and insurances up to date and ensuring they are observed
* Facilitating company meetings e.g. typing agendas, taking minutes, organising catering if required
* Approving expenses and overtime claims for the sales department
* Checking and posting sales and purchasing invoices
* Developing the company’s purchasing strategy
* Conducting regular research to ensure current suppliers are offering best value and identifying potential new suppliers to ensure best supplier deals are being purchased
* Building /maintaining strong supplier relationships and negotiating /agreeing purchasing contracts and monitoring quality of service
* Developing and overseeing stock control procedures
* Updating CRM system with equipment warranties, renewals and installed assets

Qualifications, Skills, Attributes and Experience

* Must have at least 2 years admin and /or purchasing experience with sound knowledge of the practical application of an admin/purchasing department
* Strong customer service background and experience of building relationships with customers and suppliers
* Able to provide evidence of working in a target orientated environment
* Used to working in a cross-discipline team
* Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
* Can demonstrate a good level of negotiation and influencing skills
* Excellent time management and organisation skills, able to work to deadlines and with minimal supervision
* Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
* Proficient in MS Office packages particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
* Professional, enthusiastic, proactive and flexible
* Must have min. GCSE grades A-C (or equivalent) in Maths and English

Associated Benefits:

* Salary 25k pa
* 20 days annual leave, rising by 1 day after 3 years’ service
* 37.5 hours per week
* 9am – 5.30am, Monday to Friday
