Job description

Our client who are based in a beautiful, refurbished nursery in West Norwood are currently seeking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and reliable Nursery Nurse.
Our client are a reputable and well-established setting based in a great location, close to good transport links with on- site parking available for drivers. The Nursery is warm and welcoming with a homely feel and set in a bright and airy building.

Candidate requirements

• Minimum Level 2 or 3 in Early Years Childcare
• Passion for Childcare
• Good Communication skills, both verbally and written
• Good Knowledge & Experience of EYFS
• Good Organisational skills

Roles

• To work as a member of the nursery team to ensure that all children attending the setting, receive high quality care, are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences that meet their individual needs.
• Taking a shared responsibility for the welfare
• Learning and development of a designated group of children within the nursery
• Working with initiative and creativity to foster an environment which encourages children’s all round development.
Main Responsibilities
• Supporting children’s learning and development
• Support with feeding routines and nappy changing/potty training
• Following and inputting on weekly planning
• Carrying out observations on individual children
• Following key worker policies and carrying out learning journeys in line with the EYFS framework
• Working with health and safety and safeguarding policies putting these into everyday practice
• Working in a team to ensure a fun and safe environment for the children and liaising with parents
• Interacting with all children following individual needs and creating new opportunities to extend learning.
